Plan What to Pack Before Booking a Komodo Boat Tour
Temperatures vary between coastal Labuan Bajo / Komodo islands and the Flores highlands:
- •Lowlands & Komodo Coast (approx. 28–32°C):Warm to hot conditions. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear, casual breathable clothes, flip-flops for the boat, and sports or trekking shoes for Padar, Rinca, and Komodo Island.
- •Highlands including Wae Rebo & Ruteng (approx. 15–22°C):Cooler mountain air, especially at night and during the 04:00 Kelimutu sunrise departure. Bring a warm jacket, trousers, shorts, and mosquito repellent.
- •Rain Gear & Luggage:Rain showers are possible year-round, so always bring a light raincoat or poncho. Travel light using a backpack or daypack for the Wae Rebo trekking section—avoid taking a suitcase on the trail.

ATMs, electricity, and mobile reception are limited once you sail into Komodo National Park or travel into traditional highland villages.
